The Tribal Family Services Director is a professional position that is responsible for the implementation of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and social services programs to ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved. Immersion Teacher
The Immersion Teacher will instruct the teaching of the Iñupiaq Language with the Lead Immersion Teacher and another Immersion Teacher with P-K-1 students in an immersion school environment at Nikaitchuat Iḷisaġviat. Organize the system for parent and family communication about student progress, and works with parents in defining educational goals for student. This position provides linguistic, cultural and educational services with students in tribal community-based setting while helping to ensure compliance with tribal, state, and federal regulations and policies. Special Project Manager
Responsible for planning and logistics related to building or securing a new IRA office building and Nikaitchuat Tribal School according to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding guidelines, and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of local, state and federal entities and team members. Finance Director
The Finance Director is responsible for managing the Tribe’s financial health and growth. The Finance Director is responsible for maintaining the Tribe’s accounting records in accordance with the Indian Self- Determination and Education Assistance Act Compact Agreement and generally accepted accounting procedures.
