Elder Spotlight

The Native Village of Kotzebue Elder Spotlight Proram honors tribal elders by sharing their wisdom and contributions. Launched in January with a random drawing for the first elder, the initiative will gather family stories each month to celebrate a new elder. By the end of 2025, an NVOK Elder Calendar will be created to highlight their impact on the community. Stay tuned for updates!
