JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and logistics related to building or securing a new IRA office building and Nikaitchuat Tribal School according to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding guidelines, and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of local, state and federal entities and team members. The Special Project Manager will work with Administration to define the project priorities, objectives, and specific tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and administer Department of Treasury ARPA Funding Requirements.
- Direct and manage project planning and logistics.
- Coordinate with local entities to identify land to construct the building.
- Define scope of project and deliverables that support goals.
- Collaborate with Administration, Council and Project Team.
- Provide monthly written progress reports to Executive Director and Council. Provide presentations to partners as needed.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear manner.
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop proposals, documentation, and reporting to funders as needed.
- Work directly with the Finance Department to ensure the project budget is adhered to and make adjustments as needed.
- Prepare and implement budget and conduct cost analysis for the timeline of the project.
- Conducts risk assessments, reports identified risks to management and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Addresses questions, comments, and concerns throughout the project.
- Acts as a liaison between the IRA, local, state and federal agencies.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, which may include Planning, Project Management, Business, Engineering.
- At least five years of related experience required.
- Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
